our answer is we think you should try both. they are a little bit different. each test is a little bit different, and soone test might appeal to a student's particular skill set or knowledge base a little bit betterthan the other. and we recommend the best way to understandthe difference between the two is to be exposed
to both tests. taking each test at least once is certainlysomething we counsel a lot of our students to do.we have a lot of students ask us howmany times should they take the test. well, we recommend that after taking bothtests at least once that you take a second
one a second time. so either the act you take for a second timeor the sat you take for a second time. which one to do that with really is up tothe student. which one did you like better?
take the sat or act,like is a relative term for taking standardizedtests, but which one did you feel like you have a better shot at increasing your scoreon? so take that one at least one more time, andthat usually sets students up to do pretty well with merit awards or admissions requirements.
